Floating Ropes & Throw Bags

Esprit offers two types of water rescue rope: Lakeline and Riverline

Lakeline was designed for light marine applications and for use in  water rescue throw bags.  It has a polyester sheath and polypropylene core.  The polyester adds strength and abrasion resistance and protects the core from harmful UV rays, extending the life of the rope. We use polyester instead of nylon since it maintains its strength when wet, while nylon gets weaker by 10-15%.  Yellow Lakeline is stronger and more durable than economy polyprolylene water rescue ropes.  Lakeline is bright for high visibility.  Not intended for rappelling due to the low melting point of polypropylene.

Riverline was designed for water rescue applications where higher strength and compactness are required.  It is similar to Lakeline in construction but we've added Spectra for extra strength.  Riverline is bright yellow for high visibility. Not intended for rappelling due to the low melting point of polypropylene.
